David E. Durant

David is a long-time volunteer in the community, working with both youth and the elderly

David E. Durant has been our Board President since January 2006.  He joined the Board in 1996, after several years as a volunteer attorney for LAS while he was at Crosby, Heafey, Roach & May.  David has previously served as Board President from 1999-2002, and Co-President from 2002-2004.  In addition to his volunteer work with LAS, he is a Board member and past Board President of Youth ALIVE!, an Oakland-based youth violence prevention and youth development non-profit.  David is also a City Councilmember in Pleasant Hill.  For his “Day Job,” he is the Group VP - Legal for Blackhawk Network.
