Francel D'Andrea

Executive Director

Francel D’Andrea became the Executive Director of LAS in January 2009. She has a strong leadership background and many years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Prior to joining LAS, Francel was the Executive Director of the Oakland Elizabeth House for 5 years. Elizabeth House is a transitional residence for homeless women and children. She was also the Director of a Transitional Housing Program at the Catherine McAuley Center in Scranton, PA. In her work with nonprofit organizations, Francel has worked with the senior community as a senior advocate for the county of Luzerne and worked with the Sisters of Mercy in the development and licensing of the Mercy Center Retirement Community. She held a leadership position with the Sisters of Mercy for eight years. Francel is also a teacher and taught for many years in elementary schools throughout the state of Pennsylvania. Francel holds a bachelors degree in Education and a Masters Degree in Pastoral Ministry.
