On Friday, October 23, a sold-out crowd of 270 friends, colleagues and fans of veteran Oakland Elder Law attorney, Priscilla Camp, gathered at the Silver Dragon restaurant in Oakland to pay tribute to Priscilla as Legal Assistance for Seniors honored her with a Lifetime Achievement Award. The luncheon, entitled "Serving Seniors Never Gets Old," was LAS' annual fundraising event.
Belva Davis, host of KQED's "This Week in Northern California," graciously agreed to act as Mistress of Ceremonies. Following a welcome by LAS Board President, Catherine Duggan, Executive Director Francel D'Andrea introduced Elizabeth Harris, a former LAS client, who expressed gratitude for the work LAS did on her behalf.
Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court Carol A. Corrigan then spoke about Ms. Camp and presented her with the award, a beautiful engraved crystal vase.

The festivities continued with the drawing for some outstanding raffle prizes, including a one-week vacation in Hawaii and a stay at the Claremont Resort & Spa.
The fundraising event, a project of the LAS Board of Directors and chaired this year by the president, Catherine Duggan, was the most successful ever. Proceeds will be used to support free legal services and community education for Alameda County residents over the age of 60.
