"Serving Seniors Never Gets Old"
Mark October 23 on your calendar and join LAS as we honor Priscilla Camp at our annual fundraising event!
-
Legal Assistance for Seniors is
proud to honor Priscilla Camp with a Lifetime Achievement Award at its
2009 Annual Fundraising event.
The award will be presented by the Honorable Carol A. Corrigan,
Associate Justice of the California Supreme Court, at a luncheon on
Friday, October 23, 2009 at the Silver Dragon Restaurant in Oakland. Belva Davis,
Host of KQED's "This Week in Northern California," will serve as
Mistress of Ceremonies.
We hope you will join us in celebrating Priscilla’s remarkable
accomplishments as an advocate for seniors, and for her visionary work
as a founder of Women Lawyers of Alameda County, Bay Area Lawyers for
Individual Freedom, and the National Academy of Elder Law
Attorneys.
When: October 23, 2009
Where: Silver Dragon Restaurant, 9th & Webster,
Oakland
Time: Noon until 2:00 p.m.
Tickets: $125.00
To purchase tickets, call Susan at (510)832-3040.
Proceeds from this event will support the exemplary work of Legal
Assistance for Seniors, which is the only organization in Alameda
County offering free legal services exclusively to seniors in the areas
of Guardianship, Elder Abuse, Consumer Law, Health Law, and
Immigration. In addition to legal services, LAS houses Alameda County's
Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP) and offers a
strong community education and outreach program that reaches close to
10,000 residents each year. To fund these services, LAS relies on
support from private sources, including individual and corporate
donors, to provide vital assistance to some of the most vulnerable
residents of our community.
We invite you to join us for this very special occasion. To read
