Legal Services for Immigrants

In LAS’ immigration service area, staff assist immigrant seniors in:

• applying for government benefits
• filing for citizenship
• obtaining disability waivers that excuse applicants from the English language requirement and U.S. history exam

Last year, we helped 27 seniors become citizens!

Through these services, LAS aids seniors without citizenship obtain independence by accessing government benefits and enables immigrant seniors with physical and mental disabilities accomplish life-long dreams of obtaining United States citizenship.
